GRADES IN FACS CLASS
IMPORTANT: Students will need their chromebook each day. They will sometimes be needing earbuds. Students should get in the habit of having earbuds with them each day.
1. Most assignments are done in class. We have a classroom set of books. The book is also online. The link to the online textbook is in Schoology on the Resource page.
2. Homework is not generally given on a daily basis however each grade level will have at least one home assignment. Work not completed in class should be considered as homework.
3. Class Folder. Students should have their folder each day in class. This year the folder is the RED FOLDER that was distributed at the start of school to all students. This folder should be in class each day and all handouts and class work should be in this folder.
4. Students will be using Schoology to access classwork and assignments. Most assignments will also be posted on the school website.
5. Assignments in class will be turned in on time to the designated bin for each class. Digital assignments will be subited through Schoology. Late work will result in reduced points for the assignment.
6. Appetizers (these are bell ringers) are on the board daily. Students will complete the Appetizer Questions each day. Appetizers will be graded every two weeks. Grades 7 and 8 will complete appetizers in schoology. Grade 6 will create an Appetizer Booklet in class on the first day. Appetizer questions will be answered inside their booklet. This will be graded every two weeks.
6. Since this is the first year for using Schoology in FACS there might be a slight learning curve for the teacher as well as the students! We will all be working together to make it as easy as possible!.
Absences: If a student is absent they will need to check with me for missed assignments. This is best done before or after school not at the beginning of class. If they wish to come in to make up work they should do so before school during SUCCESS.
It is highly suggested to keep up with grades on Powerschool so any issues can be addressed as we go along. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions about grades. Email is the best way to reach me.
